Embed a Rent Cap Widget on Your Site

Embed a rent cap on your site

A small card with a place’s current cap, the period it covers, the next change, when we last checked and the official source. It updates on its own when we update the figure. Free for tenant groups, landlords, newsrooms and property sites; please keep the source and “via” link.

How the widget works

The card is a page on allowedrent.com shown in an iframe, so it always has our current figure: when a cap changes, every embed shows the new one after we publish it. The script version only adds the iframe and adjusts its height. Neither sets cookies or loads analytics.

Options for the iframe address: ?theme=dark, ?theme=auto (follows the visitor’s light/dark setting) and compact=1. The place is the last part of its page address, for example /embed/san-francisco/.

The figures are general information, not legal advice; each card links to the official source and to the full page with exemptions and notice rules.
