Sacramento's 8.6% Tenant Protection Program maximum takes effect

Effective July 1, 2026, the maximum increase under Sacramento's Tenant Protection Program is 8.6%, and rent can't be raised more than once every 12 months. The city program covers units the state cap doesn't reach the same way; see the Sacramento page for which law applies.
